Outcome of the 2023 Art Council Wales’s Investment Review

Dear Lorne, Sharon and Yvonne

Thank you for your letter to the Committee (dated 6 October 2023) regarding the outcome of the 2023 Arts Council Wales Investment Review. The Committee considered your letter at its meeting on 19 October 2023.

The Committee understands the challenges facing National Theatre Wales following the Arts Council of Wales’s investment review decision. While there is an appeal process ongoing, it would not be appropriate for the Committee to comment publicly on the decisions taken by a body independent of government, but we understand that this process is expected to conclude early in the new year.

In the meantime, I would be happy to meet you in my capacity as Chair of the Committee. I will ask officials to contact you to arrange a suitable time for this to happen.
